Chapter 22 Screen Flow

1. The fog effect is useful for casting a light or heavy fog over the entire drawing. using fog in this manner can be used to slowly fade out a current drawing.

2. On the distance slider in the fog panel you will find two markers. the left marker is the near fog marker. it marks where the fog starts and is measured relative to the camera. you can change the fog color by deselecting the use background color option and clicking on the color swatch.

3. To make the section plane appear choose tools>section plane. after adding the plane it can be selected and manipulated. when selected, the transform tools can be used to move the section plane. you can also see a different section of an object by moving the object through the section plane.

4. To reverse these arrows and change the side of the section that is visible, simply right-click on the section plane border and select the reverse option from the pop up menu.

5. The section slice can be moved and viewed independent of the section, you can also align the view to be perpendicular to the current section using the right click align view menu command.

6. To export a section slice choose file>export>section slice. section slices can be saved in either the DWG or DXF file formats.
