1. To insert models, images, and text use the File>Insert menu command.

2. The easiest way to get sketch up files into layout is by choosing File>Sent to layout in sketch up.

3. Choose Edit>Select all to quickly select all objects on the current page. Choosing Edit>Select None does the opposite.

4. The Edit>Duplicate command also works and places the duplicated object offset from its original.

5. These tools use the same inference points that sketchup does. all of these tools can be found in the main toolbar and in the tools menu.

6. The styles for any shapes created with the various tools are set using the shape style panel in the tray. text can be inserted into the document by choosing file>insert, but text can also be added to the pages using the text and label tools.
